SHOWING: The timber will be shown at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 20, 2010.

MEET AT: On Site (see map) (see note at the bottom of this page regarding showings.)

SPECIAL NOTE: Do not block landowner’s blacktop driveway (see Timber Sale Map), even if the gate is closed.

BID OPENING: Bids will be received until 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 28, 2010.

Bids may be mailed, hand delivered or faxed. Mailed bids should be sent by Registered or Certified mail. Please write “Starck Timber Bid” on the envelope and/or fax cover page. Faxed bids must be preceded by a “cover page” advising of bid submission. Faxed bids are kept in strict confidence and sealed until the time of bid opening.

The successful bidder is requested to make payment in full within thirty days following bid opening.

Showings: A date and time will continue to be scheduled for conducting a tour of sale offerings. Due to the industry-wide decline in attendance at scheduled timber sale showings, West Penn Forestry Co. staff will be on site the day and time listed above only when called upon to attend. Prospective bidders wanting to attend the scheduled tour should call the West Penn Forestry office up to but no later than 1 hour prior to the scheduled showing time. Keep in mind, staff is readily available to conduct tours at other times. Feel free to call to arrange a meeting.
